Accessibility Statement

This statement was last updated on 6 July 2026.

SKILCO is committed to making its website accessible and usable for all visitors, including people with disabilities.

An accessible website allows visitors with disabilities to browse the site with the same or a similar level of ease and access as other visitors. This can be achieved through the capabilities of the website platform, thoughtful website design, and assistive technologies such as screen readers, keyboard navigation, voice control, captions, and other accessibility tools.

Our Accessibility Goal

SKILCO is working to improve the accessibility of this website and aims to follow generally recognized accessibility practices, including the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines, commonly known as WCAG.

Our goal is to work toward WCAG 2.2 Level AA accessibility where reasonably possible as the website is updated, reviewed, and improved.

Because SKILCO is a growing nonprofit organization and this website is still being updated, we do not claim that every page, document, form, video, file, third-party tool, or embedded service is fully accessible at this time.

Accessibility Adjustments on This Site

As part of our accessibility efforts, SKILCO is working to improve the website by reviewing and addressing items such as:

  • Using the Wix Accessibility Wizard to identify and fix potential accessibility issues

  • Setting the language of the site

  • Reviewing the content order of the site’s pages

  • Defining clear heading structures on website pages

  • Adding alternative text to important images where appropriate

  • Reviewing color combinations for readable contrast

  • Reducing unnecessary motion where possible

  • Improving keyboard navigation where possible

  • Using descriptive links and buttons

  • Reviewing forms for clarity and usability

  • Improving mobile-friendly page layouts

  • Reviewing videos, audio, documents, and files for accessibility where applicable

Some accessibility improvements may be ongoing and may depend on website updates, platform capabilities, third-party tools, or available organizational resources.

Current Limitations

SKILCO is continuing to review and improve the website. Some areas may not yet fully meet accessibility standards.

Known or possible limitations may include:

  • Third-party tools, donation platforms, forms, or embedded services

  • Older documents, PDFs, images, or files

  • Videos, graphics, or media that may not yet include captions, transcripts, or full text alternatives

  • Website features controlled by Wix or other third-party providers

  • Pages or content that are still under development

  • Content added before accessibility improvements were completed

SKILCO will make reasonable efforts to address accessibility barriers as they are identified.

Partial Compliance Due to Third-Party Content

The accessibility of some parts of this website may depend on content, tools, links, platforms, or services that are not fully controlled by SKILCO.

This may include donation processors, payment tools, social media platforms, embedded forms, maps, videos, event tools, training providers, partner websites, or other third-party services.

Because SKILCO does not fully control these third-party services, we cannot guarantee the accessibility of all third-party content or tools. However, if a third-party service creates a barrier to accessing SKILCO information or participating in a SKILCO-related opportunity, please contact us so we can try to provide reasonable assistance or an alternate method of access.

Accessibility Arrangements for In-Person Services

SKILCO programs, meetings, events, cohorts, and services may take place at different locations depending on the activity, partner, event, or program.

Accessibility arrangements may vary by location. Visitors, participants, parents, guardians, volunteers, mentors, instructors, partners, or donors who need accessibility-related assistance for an in-person meeting, event, or program should contact SKILCO before attending so we can review the request and make reasonable efforts to assist.

  • The page or content you were trying to access
